Add visual instructions to an order
Mark instructions directly on your photos so editors see exactly which area of which image you mean.

Some requests are easier to show than to describe. Visual instructions let you mark an area on an image and attach your instruction to it, which cuts back and forth and improves first-time quality. The markup appears only on a generated thumbnail; your original file is untouched.
Note
Visual instructions are available for customized products on Enterprise plans. To turn them on, create a ticket in the Esoft Support Portal.
Mark up an image
1
Upload your input files in the order.
2
Select Show/Hide thumbnails and open the image you want to annotate.
3
Mark the relevant area with the area box or the arrow tool.
4
Type your instruction into the box that appears. Every marker needs an instruction.
5
Select outside the image when you’re done, and repeat for any other images.
Which files support visual instructions
Visual instructions work on common image formats (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, DNG) and common RAW formats (CR2, CR3, NEF, RAW). They aren’t yet available for BMP, HEIC or PSD files, for videos, or for documents such as PDFs.
What happens next
Your markers travel with the order, and editors see them next to each image while they work. Instructions that apply to the whole order still belong in the instructions field in 3. Additional information.
